Team - St. Patrick’s Day has come and gone, but let’s keep the momentum riding into April. I have joined everyone’s favorite doctor (dentist), George Cooper, in his Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - Man of the Year - fundraiser. George is running for our friend Mitch, who is currently in remission for Hodgkins Lyphoma. I am helping in honor of my uncle, Greg Corgan, who we lost 7 years ago to Mantle Cell Lymphoma. LLS is no joke, they have funded 60 of the past 71 FDA-approved blood cancer treatments. Our team is aiming to raise $100K over this 10-week philanthropic competition. Cancer is something that has impacted everyone and we’d love to have your help in this battle…
On Saturday, April 17, Mother Hubbard’s will be hosting an open bar event from 1-5pm with half of the proceeds going to the LLS. Tickets will be $110 and can be purchased at https://wamitickets.com/e/53. We will also be collecting at the door but who walks around with $110 in cash? As we’re fighting against blood cancer, please wear red! Chef Stern will be cookin up his famous wings/pizza + LLS themed bombs so come ready to rock. ESPN, the magazine and ESPN.com have selected Mother Hubbard's for their NCAA sponsors parties the last two years. They even by-passed their own ESPN Zone to capitalize on Mother Hubbard's 7 10ft. screens, excellent ribs and local flavor. (ESPN Zone only has one large screen). Getting a table for the Big Games is not easy. Be prepared to come early. Mother Hubbard's is a favorite of all the hotel concierges. Visiting College and NBA coaches stop by to scout their next opponents on Mother Hubbard's giant screens. Athletes and team executives frequently make reservations to chow down on Mother Hubbard's ribs while keeping up on the other games in their league. Free WI-FI. It took Starbucks and McDonalds two years to catch up with Mother Hubbard's. Mother Hubbard's has had free wireless service available since January 2002. Just bring in your laptop and get the free password from the bartender and your flying! The service is available from 11:00am-4:00am.
